Neville Langley

Neville's ceramics have a distinctly sculptural quality with simplicity of line and decoration reflecting an abiding interest in archaeology inspired by extensive travel in Egypt, Mexico and the Americas.

He also creates detailed journals, watercolours and photographs, which illustrate the sources of his work and his journeys through life.

Neville became interested in ceramics when visiting Bernard Leach's studio in St Ives in 1950. Initial ceramic training was at St John Cass College in the City of London and he has continued to develop his ideas and methods by visiting, working with and collecting the work of a number of major British and American Potters.
