Birds
Saturday 15 March to Sunday 13 AprilOpen: 10am - 6pm, Thursday - Sunday, and public holidays.
The exhibition includes lively and original bird inspired works from eagles, penguins, owls and redshanks to chickens.
On display will be works by John Eveleigh (paintings), David Koster (lithographs, woodcuts), Robert Greenhalf (paintings, woodcuts), Tor Hildyard (etchings, collographs), Chris Furse (watercolours), Vikky Furse (acrylics), Kerry Sinclair (pastels), Marilyn Williams (sculptural stoneware vessels and birdbaths), Susan Neal (raku ceramics), Cathy Streeter (encaustic paintings), Jean McCree (ceramic chickens and bird jugs), Tanya Hewitt (ceramics), Bill Aspinal (woodcarving), Sue Chapman (photographs)
Among the more unusual pieces are:
- Susan Neal's raku pots decorated with feathers burnt into the surface to create a shadow photographic-like effect
- Jean McCree's delightful chickens.
John Eveleigh and David Koster are founding members of the Society of Wildlife Artists.
